Melissa Booyens is a highly skilled and compassionate physiotherapist, who graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2016. She began her career with a strong focus on sports physiotherapy and musculoskeletal injuries, quickly establishing herself as a dedicated professional.
In 2018, Melissa advanced her expertise by completing the SPT Level 1 course, a specialized post-graduate program in sports physiotherapy.
Having successfully founded and managed her own physiotherapy practice in South Africa, she made the bold decision to relocate to Australia in 2023, bringing with her a wealth of experience and passion for patient care.
In recent years, Melissa has developed a growing interest in women's health, particularly in pelvic health. She is dedicated to addressing the often-overlooked issues women face, such as incontinence, constipation, prolapse, and pelvic pain. With a deep belief that these symptoms are frequently dismissed due to embarrassment or a misconception that they are "normal," Melissa is committed to expanding her knowledge in this area and empowering women to seek the care they deserve.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Melissa enjoys spending time with her young family, as well as engaging in activities such as reading, running, and staying active.With a constant drive to learn and grow in her field, Melissa is excited to share her knowledge and make a positive impact on the lives of her patients.

- Post-graduate Cerificate in Sports Physiotherapy (SPT1)
