Maryam Sharif
Physiotherapist
"Pain shouldn’t hold anyone back — whether it’s a child learning to walk, a parent chasing after their kids, or an elderly person wanting to stay independent. Movement matters for everyone.” Maryam Sharif
Maryam is a physiotherapist with a passion for helping people move better and live pain-free. She graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Health Sciences (Pakistan) in 2018 and has recently made the big move to Australia.
Over the years, Maryam has worked in different areas of physiotherapy, including musculoskeletal injuries, paediatrics, and geriatrics. Maryam loves the variety of her work — she says it keeps her learning, adapting, and growing as a clinician. Whether it’s supporting a child through developmental delays, helping an elderly patient regain independence, or working with someone managing chronic pain, Maryam truly believes that every person deserves quality care that helps them live their life to the fullest.
Maryam is a registered physiotherapist in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Her decision to move to Australia was part of a larger goal—to expand her professional exposure, grow in a new healthcare system, and serve a diverse community. Maryam believes that learning never stops, and international experience helps her bring broader knowledge and perspective to her patients.
Outside of the clinic, Maryam likes stay active by working out at the gym—it’s something she genuinely enjoys and believes in. Maryam also runs an online platform called PhysioWell, where she creates content on Instagram and YouTube to guide fellow physiotherapists through international licensing processes and career planning. This is something she is passionate about—supporting others in their journey, just as she was once supported in her own.
As a physiotherapist, a content creator, and a mum, Maryam has learnt to balance both family and career, and she brings that same sense of care, understanding, and commitment into her practice every day.
