- Zach Appleton
Zach is a proud Ellenbrook local who grew up in the area and is passionate about giving back to the community that helped shape him. With a strong interest in exercise, sport, and human movement, Zach was inspired to pursue physiotherapy after experiencing its benefits firsthand – at this very clinic! Following his own injury, physiotherapy supported his recovery and helped him return to playing basketball pain-free.
He completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Curtin University, building on his earlier Bachelor of Science (Exercise, Sports and Rehabilitation Science). Before becoming a physiotherapist, Zach spent five years working as a Physiotherapy Assistant in hospital settings, where he gained extensive experience in post-operative rehabilitation. He regularly supported patients recovering from knee, hip, shoulder, and spinal surgeries.
Zach has also been heavily involved in sport, working as a sports trainer in rugby and soccer at state level.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys weightlifting at the gym, playing social basketball, and staying active with his wife, newborn, and their two dogs – whether that’s travelling or heading out for long hikes together.
